At The Village homeschool co-op, we started with something simple:
A group of moms who couldn’t find what we were looking for in other homeschool co-ops around Greenville, Anderson, and Pelzer.
So we built it ourselves.
We wanted something different—something real.
Not just a place for classes, but a true, parent-led homeschool community in the Upstate of SC, where families feel supported, connected, and known.
We've all heard the horror stories — the co-op that felt more like a middle school hallway than a community. The cliques. The whisper networks. The drama that somehow makes its way back to your kids.
That's not who we are. And it's not who we want to be.
At The Village, kindness isn't just a value we put on a list — it's something we actually hold each other to. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of your background, your homeschool method, or where you are in the journey. New families are embraced, not sized up.
We also believe that if something isn't working, the right move is a direct, honest conversation — not a group text. Our board is genuinely approachable, and we will always work with you if a concern comes up.
What we ask in return is simple: extend the same grace to others that you'd want extended to you. Gossip, exclusion, and "mean girl" behavior have no place here — and families who consistently bring that energy will be asked to find a better fit.
We say that not to be harsh, but because protecting this community is how we keep it worth belonging to.
We believe education should be:
Engaging
Hands-on
Thoughtfully structured
Tailored to real student needs
Our programs are designed to offer the best parts of a school environment—like consistency, accountability, and group learning—without the negative experiences that many families are trying to avoid.
Our co-op is proudly Christian-based, grounded in values that emphasize: kindness, respect, integrity, and community.
We strive to create an environment where both students and families feel encouraged, supported, and uplifted
Every homeschool family has different needs. That’s why The Village offers flexibility:
Join for academic classes
Participate in clubs and extracurriculars
Attend events and social gatherings only
You don’t have to do everything to be part of The Village—you can plug in where it works best for your family.
