Your kids won't just read about heroes and helpers — they'll become them.
The Village is a Christian homeschool co-op and nonprofit where learning happens through doing. Academics, real friendships, interest-led clubs, hands-on service projects, and character built right into the curriculum — all in a village that shows up for each other and for our local community.
This is education that forms the whole kid. And we'd love for your family to be part of it.

At The Village, we’ve built a homeschool community for Upstate SC parents where you can feel supported, students are known and valued for who they are, and friendships can grow naturally. Education is important, but the relationships we’re building can last a lifetime!
We’re more than a homeschool co-op for Greenville and Anderson SC families. We’re a place where you become part of something bigger.
We provide structured, in-person academic opportunities that complement what you’re already doing at home. Students of all ages can participate in core subjects, including English, reading, writing, social studies, science, and STEM activities. They’ll also learn critical thinking skills and express themselves in curated electives that are chosen based on student interest and ability.
Students can also participate in physical education courses held at Pelzer Gym, along with a range of enrichment classes and clubs.
Our goal is to give students a sense of consistency, accountability, and quality instruction while keeping parents fully in control of their family’s homeschool journey.
As students grow, their needs change—and so does homeschooling.
Our high school drop-off program provides a safe, structured environment where students can:
Attend in-person classes
Earn credit for three core subjects
Participate in PE / gym
Build independence and responsibility
It’s the perfect balance between freedom and structure, helping prepare students for life beyond high school while staying rooted in a homeschool foundation.
At The Village, learning goes beyond academics. We offer students the opportunity to participate in clubs, events and social gatherings, field trips, and community service projects that allow them to take part in something bigger than themselves.
These experiences give students the chance to build friendships, develop confidence, and discover their interests in a supportive environment.
We are proud to serve families throughout:

What exactly is a homeschool co-op, and how does The Village work?
A homeschool co-op is a community of families who come together to share instruction, resources, and experiences that are hard to provide at home alone. At The Village, students attend structured in-person classes, clubs, and events in Upstate South Carolina while parents remain in control of their overall homeschool curriculum. We are not a school — we are a supportive community that enriches what you're already doing at home.
Is The Village the same as a homeschool accountability association in South Carolina?
No — these are two different things. South Carolina families must be enrolled with a legal accountability association (under Option 3) to homeschool legally. The Village is a co-op, not an accountability association. You will need a separate Option 3 association for your legal homeschool status, and then you can join The Village for classes, community, and enrichment. We're happy to point you toward resources if you need help getting started.
Do I have to already be homeschooling to join The Village?
Yes — The Village serves active homeschool families in Upstate South Carolina. If your family is currently enrolled in a public or private school full-time, our programs are not designed for you. However, if you are considering making the switch to homeschooling and want to learn more about what community looks like on the other side, we encourage you to reach out and ask questions first.
Which areas do you serve?
We serve homeschool families throughout Upstate South Carolina, including Greenville, Anderson, Pelzer, Williamston, Belton, and surrounding communities. If you're unsure whether you're in our area, reach out — we'd love to connect with you.
How is The Village different from just homeschooling on my own?
Homeschooling alone puts everything on one parent's plate — every subject, every social experience, every lesson plan. The Village provides structured in-person classes taught by others, a ready-made community of like-minded families, clubs and events for your children, and the encouragement that comes from doing this alongside people who get it. You stay in control of your homeschool. We add the "village" around it.
If you’re looking for support, structure, and connection in your homeschool journey, we’d love to welcome you.
